Happy Hot Momma's Day!!!

We were in Cali for Mother's Day so Heather & I took my mom out for a girls night of pedicures, dinner & came back & watched a chick flick before we left to celebrate it and let her know we love her lots! Happy Mothers Day Mom!!!

Disneyland!!!

Jake was so excited the night before we left for Disneyland!!!

It was totally like the commercial for Disneyland with the little boy and girl that were supposed to be sleeping and the dad comes in and the little boy says they are too excited to sleep!!

Teacups... u know how they have height and age requirements .. well they should have age restrictions on this ride.. i'm too old for it!!!

Jake loved it!!!! cuz he's crazy!!!!

Jake liked Disneyland... but he loves the beach.. just like his mom! He'd rather play at the beach!

Just Jake

I made the mistake of telling Jake his cousins were coming over for a water day.. he got in his board shorts and waited all day.. that night when i told him it was time to get ready for bed he started to cry because he had thought they were still coming.

For some reason he thinks this is so funny.. and yes he had been wearing them previously.. not on his head!!

I love it that Jake has such great cousins and he loves them so much.. they are his best friends!!

Went and hiked 7 falls in Tucson a little while ago.. it was a great hike that led up to this.. lotza fun.. should go back soon if anyone wants to come!

Phoenix Zoo

We did a last minute trip to the zoo a while back with my mom... and i dunno these kids are just crazy because they would sit at the entrance with the turtles or the very beginning with the fish for forever!!! Why pay to go to the zoo???

Ok... kids are great!!! We came up to the zebra exhibit and this little boy asked his mom how that balloon got stuck to the zebra!! We all started busting up laughing! The zoo is so educational!

Somehow Jake got this idea that we can buy babies and dads at the store.. ya he's still pushing for a baby... a few weeks ago he said we needed a baby.. he said he wants 5 so he always has someone to play with and they never leave.. that's NEVER gonna happen!! i told him i was too busy for a baby right now so he said he would take care of it.. it could sleep in his room.. i told him he would wake it up that we didn't have room right now and that it might be nice to have a daddy as well.. he thought for a second and then said well let's just give Aunt Heather money for Trailor (Taylor) and we can keep her and Heather can go buy a new baby.. i told him that was an excellent idea & had him call Heather and tell her!! Then about a week ago after church he says "We don't have a dad" and I said.. ya my dad is upstairs.. and he said no we need to get a dad.. i told him he had a dad that loves him alot.. and he said no we need a dad that lives with us.. before i had a chance to even think about what to say.. he tells me we need to go buy a dad at the store... well heck.. why didn't i think of that! Now I just need enough money to buy a dad at the store and "Trailor" from Heather! (12/11/08)
On the way up to the cabin Saturday it was getting dark and we were driving through the woods and Jake said "there are dinosaurs in the woods.. a raptor.. i'm gonna sing it a song so it will fall asleep then i can tippy toe so softly away from him and be safe and then he will be so happy." A raptor.. not a bear or a mountain lion but a dinosaur.. obsessed?? (09/02/08)
Last night I got home from the gym, i was tired and needed to get Jake & myself ready for bed so I decided rather than give Jake a bath and then jump in the shower I would just throw him in the shower with me.. well, i haven't done that in a long time and I came to the conclusion that I won't be doing that again.. jake is officially too old for that.. i was reaching down for something and Jake grabbed my chest and said mom you have really big muscles!!! I was putting Jake to bed & he asked me how we get babies..the dreaded conversation that i haven't put much thought into, he's only 4 & i'm not having one anytime soon!!! so i told him.. from the stork..he said let's go get one..i told him we were much too busy for a baby right now so he told me that he would take care of it.. he would feed him his bottle, hold him and sing him jingle bells..ah so cute, but sorry not even close to happnin, gotta find a daddy 1st.. lol..ya i know, i should've used that as an opportunity to talk about heavenly father, but i'm not that good of a mom!! I was standing on a chair putting something on a shelf when Jake told me I wasn't allowed to stand on the chairs.. that the police would come and get me and take me to the dentist..lol..the dreaded dentist!! (07/22/08)
Tonight Jake was really fighting bedtime and his last effort to stay up was "I don't know how to go to sleep. I'm still too little.." I say "close your eyes and think about something you want to dream about".. he asks "how do i dream when i close my eyes.. how do i think?" I don't even know the answer to what that process is of how we have thoughts... He's only 4 & I already don't know the answers to his questions.. I am a goner! (07/20/08)
Oh.. today at the grocery store I was in the bread aisle at Walmart and Jake said very loudly "Look at that big lady". I said "what?" and he started laughing and pointing at this lady in the meat department and said "She's a really big lady mom." I was mortified! At least she couldn't hear him, but how did my child learn this?? I asked him that question and his answer was "my dad"... nice! (06/02/08)
When I was tucking Jake into bed tonight he tapped on his forehead and said "happy happy dreams". I asked him what he was doing & he said he was telling his head to have happy dreams before he fell asleep. What a goofball.. I might hafta try that tonight :) (06/02/08)
Last night when Jake was saying his prayers he said "please bless us not to say knuckleknucklehead...please bless me not to say honking witch." I wanted to bust up laughing..especially because of the story that goes along with it... he called the ex's gf a honking witch this past weekend and I got blamed for that. Ya right..if Jake was learning words about her from me they would be a whole lot worse..lol!! (05/20/08)

Mom says "Jake are you ready for breakfast?" Jake replies "No, not today, it's Christmas Eve."
Jake does not like to sleep, so I thought I would be clever & make up a story about the sun sleeping & when the sun was asleep Jake needed to be asleep, yada yada. At the end of my story Jake told me he needed to find his "green flute to make a big noise & wake up the sun." The next morning he came in at the break of dawn pointing to the window excitedly telling me "the sun's up mom." That one backfired. How do I get outsmarted by my 3 yr old?
Jake said:
"Mom this is tasy" Referring to his PB& honey sandwich.
"Don't worry mom, I'll wash the car."
"You're a good gruwl (girl) mom."
"Um... delicious", while eating orange yogurt.
"Mom, you're wunerful (wonderful)."
"I'm the biggest boy of whole world."

Cousin Kadyn after seeing Jake go potty sitting down & has to push it down to go into the toilet says: "Jake pushed his button."
Jake to Kadyn : "Be nice to my mom."- He should take his own advice sometimes :)
Jakes newest thing: his imaginary pet, "Baby Crab." He carries it around in the palm of his hand & will set it down on something, then 2 secs later says that Baby Crab is missing & wants me to help him find it. That's a fun one- trying to find an invisible, imaginary, baby crab.
Jake came in w/a whole roll of toilet paper unraveled in the back of his dump truck. Before I could scold him for the wasted t.p. he said "Look mom, it's a garbage truck."
